Peppered Cottons

Every now and then, a “new” fabric crosses my path. Recently, I discovered “Peppered” or “Shot” Cottons. What a find!

What are “Peppered” Cottons? According the the StudioE website, “Peppered Cottons are a timeless classic and a favorite for quilters. These are yarn-dyed shot cottons, meaning the weft and warp are two different colors, giving each color a unique look. These shot cottons are a heavier weight that others on the market and thus have earned their standing as a ‘favorite’.”

I have made the decision to carry the entire line, they are so beautiful and unique. They are a great alternative to solids and complement the incredible Kaffe fabrics very well and are soft, but substantial. I plan to use them for quilts, as well as in the various bags, totes and wallets that I make for art shows and for sale on the website.
