You may have heard a similar quote, but this exact phrase is something my dad used to say to me as long as I can remember. And I have pretty much lived my life accordingly.

My name is Cindy Skelton (The Quilting Engineer)

• Yes, I love to quilt and sew and I am a mechanical engineer (General Motors Institute – class of 1978)
• But I’m also a mom of 3 grown sons and a grandmother of 3 amazing children.
• And for 16 years, I was a high school Physics, Robotics & Astronomy teacher (after getting my teacher certification)
• I am a breast cancer survivor (15 years and counting!)
